The Magellan Move Maker allows you to reserve* your new home while we take care of selling yours. This scheme enables purchasers with a home to sell to ‘reserve’ their new home for a limited period whilst every effort is made to sell their existing property and at no cost to themselves. Please note if the related property is currently on the market it is the responsibility of the vendor to settle any outstanding accounts for advertising etc, with their appointed agent.

1. Your current property is valued by two independent estate agents who operate within your area. The valuation request is for a four-six week sale. 

2. Once the valuations are received, an asking price is agreed and your current home is placed upon the open market with the appointed agent.  At this stage the Home Information Pack is instructed (cost £299 + VAT) and your existing home can be marketed.

3. Now you can reserve you New Magellan home*. This is initially reserved for a 4 week period, at which point the position is reviewed and any actions necessary are discussed and implemented as appropriate, in order to achieve a sale on your current home.

4. Your current property is advertised regularly and promoted through the estate agent’s offices and web network in order to achieve maximum exposure.

5. The Sales Advisor will contact you weekly to update you on the interest levels in your current home and any feedback from the selling agent.

6. Once the related property is under offer to a completed chain, the legal process will then commence proceeding towards an exchange of contracts on your new home.

7. On legal completion of your new home Magellan will pay the estate agent's fees in relation to selling your old property.

*Subject to developers terms & conditions. Reservation fee £1000, if you or we withdraw from the Move Maker agreement the reservation fee will be refunded less the cost of the HIP. The HIP will then be sent to you with your refund.
