The town of Garforth is surrounded by open countryside, woodlands and rural villages with farming still playing an active role in the area. Garforth is an established sought after town with a population of around 15,000, lying to the eastern outskirts of Leeds.
Garforth is well served by the motorway network accessed from the M1 link road at junction 46 to the west; with Junction 47 of the M1 and Junction 42 of the A1, which passes to the North and East of the town respectively. The town benefits from two railway stations, providing mainline routes between Leeds, York and Scotland and Leeds, Selby and Hull and the East Coast.
Garforth has a range of local amenities including post office, medical centre, banks, library, a range of public houses and eateries. Sainsbury’s and Tesco supermarket are located nearby.
Garforth has a number of Nurseries, Infant and Junior School, Strawberry Fields Primary School being the closest, and the excellent Garforth Community College. In September 2007 Garforth Schools were among the first in the country to achieve Trust status, which provides opportunities through ‘The School Partnership Trust’.
Leeds and York are a short drive away, offering a range of boutiques, high street shops, bars, restaurants, leisure facilities and nightlife.
Thorpe Park, a 270 acre business park, home to a number of global and national companies as well as the Four Star Thorpe Park Spa and Hotel is located nearby.
